I'm not wearing any make up!
This week I have been focusing on what the book (French Women Don't Get Fat) describes as, 'everything is a matter of balance.'
Yes, I have eaten my favorite foods, I've been adding more veggies to my meals, drinking more water, blah, blah, blah. However, one trick the book is adament on is BALANCE.
I have found my 'balance' so to speak! Nothing, food wise, for me is out of bounds. Perhaps, I may (or may not) take smaller portions or eat more of one thing than another, YET I 'make up' for it some other way by either eating more healthy for dinner (or the next 2 days) or going on a longer walk with my sweet puppy in the city. I am making a habit and the effort of doing mental additions and deductions in my head, which I figured would be time consuming, but no, not really.
Need an example? Ok!
When I wake up, I reach for my coffee mug and brew myself a long espresso. I drink it with sugar and cream, and really take the time to enjoy my cup. After I finish drinking it, I make sure I put that java to work by moving around, by organizing the house to cleaning it to an afternoon walk to a quick bike ride to the grocery store. IT ALL COUNTS!
This week's stats:
January 23, 2013
Weight last week: 167
Weight this week: 164
How am I feeling?
Better, thank you, and more comfortable, not over-obsessing about food or drink.
It's a nice feeling!
Three New Things I Learned this Week:
1. My husband can carry me now!
I am sharing this with you because it has NEVER happened to me before. Earlier in the week, my sweet husband swept me off my feet! No, really, he carried me, like something out of a trashy romance novel. It was really exciting.
I have always been too fat for him to carry, however that has changed. As you can imagine, it is a very good feeling!
2. I learned how to make leek soup! It was really good and good for you!
3. I learned how to keep a 'checks and balances' system of myself!
Have a good week and EAT WELL!
Bonjour et Bienvenue!
Thank you for stopping by for a spell!

Frenchified for Life
is a fabulous little lifestyle blog about truly embracing French life!
My intent is to simply inspire you to create something unique and beautiful in your everyday life. The French have this wonderful and annoying habit of seeing the world through rose colored glasses, might as well learn something from them!
That said, I lift my glass to you!
By the way, I mention the name Cachou (or The Cash) a lot, I'm referring to her...
