It took a lot of guts for me to finally show and tell the truth. I am fat and I say that with a smile on my face, because of that old saying, the truth shall set you free or perhaps I have truly embraced Frenchness and their acceptance of nudity...
To be honest, I do not know why I decided to share this journey with you, perhaps the embarrassment of admitting something I have ignored for YEARS, but like the photo above, I still had a smile on my face, like a mask.
So, with the New Year, I will take care of myself by: stretching more, reading one book a month from my book shelf, taking my puppy on longer walks, meditating for 5 minutes a day, honing my tennis and bellydancing skills, finish my book of shadows, learn to sew (again) and going back to French classes!!
... and I have a plan
Photo and Measurements taken January 2nd
Weight: 167 lbs -- 76 kilos
R Thigh: 27"
R Arm and Calf: 15"
I plan to use basic nutrition as my guide, with the support from the Frenchies with the following two books.
I plan on writing a weekly reality check. I will post updates, photos, new recipes, creative projects to try out, French pearls of wisdom and perhaps discover that enigma of the French and their je ne sais quoi!
Happy New Year and Thank you for reading!
Bonjour et Bienvenue!
Thank you for stopping by for a spell!
I am a 40-something year old American woman. Born in Texas, raised in Las Vegas!
Frenchified for Life
is a fabulous little lifestyle blog about truly embracing French life!
My intent is to simply inspire you to create something unique and beautiful in your everyday life. The French have this wonderful and annoying habit of seeing the world through rose colored glasses, might as well learn something from them!
That said, I lift my glass to you!
By the way, I mention the name Cachou (or The Cash) a lot, I'm referring to her...
