Greetings from The Pyrenees!
Hello everyone! Now that everyone is gearing up for back to school, my sweet husband and I thought that it woul be a perfect time to vacation! We are currently in the Pyrenees, located near the Spain/French border. We are surrounded by majestic mountains, clean air, perfect weather, and since everyone is gearing up for the start of the new year (la rentrée or back to school) that means we have the whole little town to ourselves!
Sometimes, I really love France. How could one not!? Then, there are other times..... well, you can just click on the I HATE France section of this blog and you too will understand.
I have sliding scale love affair with France, and most days, I am on cloud 9. Falling in love with France is inevitable, she is a beautiful madness, which suits me fine, as most people seem to fit the same description.
A love affair with France is like none other. From the countless observations, experiences, and tears, I have narrowed itt down to three things. France simply wants you to have the best. Allow me to explain... 1. Eat and Drink well 2. Walk around and discover new things about her and yourself. 3. Be in love!
I know it sounds corny and perhaps it is, but as simple and corny as it seems, the fact remains, while in France it is impossible NOT to do all of those 3 things. Should you buy the next plane ticket and experience for yourself what I am talking about? Yes and sooner rather than later.
We are in the city of Luchon, known as the Queen of The Pyrenees. For lack of a better term, this area is magical. In 76 BC, a Pompeian soldier first discovered the thermal properties of the natural springs, fast forward to 1750, Baron d'Etigny, fell in love with the area and dedicated his life to transforming it into a resort spa, which continues to this day.
Remember, summer isn't over until September 21st, until then have a nice summer!!
Love - Jenny
Frenchified for Life
Bonjour et Bienvenue!
Thank you for stopping by for a spell!
I am a 40-something year old American woman. Born in Texas, raised in Las Vegas!
Frenchified for Life
is a fabulous little lifestyle blog about truly embracing French life!
My intent is to simply inspire you to create something unique and beautiful in your everyday life. The French have this wonderful and annoying habit of seeing the world through rose colored glasses, might as well learn something from them!
That said, I lift my glass to you!
By the way, I mention the name Cachou (or The Cash) a lot, I'm referring to her...
