Greetings and my regards, my friends!
Welcome to another fabulous post by little ol me!
Today I would like to talk about the magic words.
Read time: 5 minutes
Yes, yes, my darlings, please and thank you are a given, but I would like for you to be open to the possibilities of magic, especially in our words.
There is this saying: we cast spells everyday, that is why we call it spelling. (did you get it?)
Whatever language you speak, read or write, that is your magic and how you communicate to your surroundings.
It is what separates us from other species, however just because another species may not speak, it does not mean they don't communicate.
Ever have a conversation with your cat or dog or bird or wolverine? Do they speak English or German or French or Danish? No!
And thanks the heavens they don't, could you imagine all the dirt they'd have on you?!
Today, I was given to gift of magic through written word. She wrote: I am not a fan of self deprecation.
I was stunned by the profound simplicity. I sat in silence. Then, it was like a deep soft gong, gonged, inside my soul and I instantly changed. And, for me, just like that, magic! But, whoa buddy, there's always a catch, right? Of course there is, it's called the fine print or as the French say, les petits détails, the little details.
Change, like magic, is a process, a transformation of sorts. Like when a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly. Or when Cinderella's fairy god-mother transformed her from drag to fab with a flick of her wand! Or when a baby grows and begins walking and talking! Babies and butterflies! Honestly, darling!? What's better than that?! Am I right?
Change is an active participation of a belief that is for the betterment of human-kind.
Let me break it down for you, in scientific terms: Change is a theory, and one must test the hypothesis (no self deprecation talk to yourself or others) and await results. But in Jenny's words: just calm down, shut up and be fabulous! I mean realllly, why bother being bothered? Honestly, darling!? (said like a Disney villain)
A few years ago, I saw a movie called "What the bleep.. down the rabbit hole," and most recently, I was invited to a 'Wine and Words' movie night where we watched the film, "I AM."
I highly recommend both of them, as it gives you the idea and hope to change our perceptions.
It's basically hippie-talk meets cool-weird-science, it's great, but you have to be in a good mood to watch it, that is the condition. Les petits détails, so to speak.
So make a night of it, why don't you? Have a hippie party, pop open the bubbly, roll in the mud for all I care -- just be happy and in a good space, deal?
With the desire to peak your interest, but not spoiling it for you, in the movie, "Down the Rabbit Hole", we are introduced to an artist who speaks/writes notes on the water glass or bottle, then photographs how his words transformed the water. You can check out the website here.
The father of philosophy is Thales of Miletus, he was a cool ancient dude, check him out. He was, for lack of a better word, THE MAN! Philosopher, world traveler, business man, teacher, mentor -- Thales deduced that everything is made of water.
Let's fast forward -- Human bodies are mostly made of water, ranging from 50-75%. The average adult human body is 50-65% water, averaging around 57-60%. The percentage of water in infants is higher, 75-78%r, dropping to 65% by one year of age. If you choose to believe that or not, that's on you, you are more than welcome to search for yourself, in fact, I encourage it!
If how we talk to water, transforms, and if humans are more than 50-percent water, then would you agree on how we talk to ourselves affects and effects us and thus others?
In the film 'I AM', there is this scene where the director of the film is talking to yogurt. Yeah, yogurt. Stay with me now, they hook up the yogurt to this old school type contraption that everyone seemed to own at one time or another, and it measures its reactions. I can't think of what that is machine is called, anyway, when the director talked about his divorce (it measured in the red) or something positive, it felt what he felt. Believe it or not.
They were not connected, meaning hooked up to one another, nor did he have his finger in the yogurt, he simply sat next to it and talked to it. And it reacted. Yogurt reacts. Who knew? I mean, yogurt is mostly bacteria and so are we, so I am just all yogurt and water? Ummmm? Wait? What?
I am not a fan of self deprecation.
That was all she wrote.
The magic words that sparked today's post.
I will keep you posted on the progress of my transformation, no self deprecation talk, gotta train to be a Jedi, you know! And please, keep me posted on yours!

Babies and Butterflies, Hippies!
Babies and Butterflies!
PS. Be good to yourselves, remember life is too short to eat bad food!
PS. Believe it or not, sparked this old school song! Enjoy! WITH LYRICS! Who remembers this?
Bonjour et Bienvenue!
Thank you for stopping by for a spell!

Frenchified for Life
is a fabulous little lifestyle blog about truly embracing French life!
My intent is to simply inspire you to create something unique and beautiful in your everyday life. The French have this wonderful and annoying habit of seeing the world through rose colored glasses, might as well learn something from them!
That said, I lift my glass to you!
By the way, I mention the name Cachou (or The Cash) a lot, I'm referring to her...
