Look what my sweet husband caught last night!
The fish was probably the length of his arm and he said it weighed about 8-10 pounds! Needless to say, I was very happy for him and congratulated him on his big catch. I wanted to take the standard photo of him holding up his prize catch, but he wouldn't have any of it.
Don't ask me to name this fish. What I can tell you is how is tasted! It was a white fleshed fish, and tasted light, fresh and silky! He pan fried it with butter, garlic and parsley, and it goes without saying that it was very very good! We live less than a ten minute walk from The Garonne, the river that runs through Bordeaux. He and Cachou went for a evening fishing trip and returned home with this beauty. I was very proud of him. Even though he drives me crazy, I am crazy in love with him.
I just wanted to share with you this experience, as I have never eaten a 'fresh caught' fish. I have, however, eaten fresh oysters straight out the ocean. My husband shucked them with the knife you see in the sink and feed them to me. It was one of my most memorable and most romantic moments in my life. (swoon!)
Ok, that's all! Thank you for reading and until next time... Eat well and take care of yourselves!
Bonjour et Bienvenue!

Frenchified for Life
is a fabulous little lifestyle blog about truly embracing French life!
My intent is to simply inspire you to create something unique and beautiful in your everyday life. The French have this wonderful and annoying habit of seeing the world through rose colored glasses, might as well learn something from them!
That said, I lift my glass to you!
By the way, I mention the name Cachou (or The Cash) a lot, I'm referring to her...
